Thanks for reading and commenting!
The scene wrote itself for me, and it just felt right. Glad you enjoyed.

I'm sure it happened this way, because we saw two people in the car in the distance shot!

I know, right! You don't even have to look that hard to see that two people - who look a heck of a lot like Sam and Dean!- are sitting in the front seat. Ad you can't tell me that Dean would let someone else take his baby into a situation like that, not after just getting her back.

This is why I had to write this little scene. There is no way Dean is going to hand over the keys to his baby to anyone, much less a demon. And they did have Cas, who I am guessing zapped them into the building itself past any other security guards so they could start the search.

Writing Cas was quite fun, so I'm glad it came across in a good way for you.

This really needed to be in that episode. The editing there made it kind of confusing. I remember a lot of questions about it in the con that followed its airing. So I'm really glad you wrote this. It fits in perfectly!

Initially, I thought I was just confused because I'd been flailing so hard at seeing the Impala back in action. But subsequent rewatches made me think there had to be some sort of plan such as I wrote. And there was a promo for the episode that had a little glimpse at a scene where Dean, Sam and Cas are standing outside of Sucrocorp, saying the "Don't get killed" lines that never made it into the episode, so I wonder if there are going to be some deleted scenes that will explain things a bit better.

I was hoping for some extras on the dvd set for it but no such luck

I had the same thing happen to me with the DVDs - I got excited and then a bit disappointed. Nor was there anything mentioned in the episode commentary, other than saying that it made sense to "send in someone bullet proof" instead of the boys.
