I love the part about Hermione being an equal and her sacrifice the best.
That part when she erases her parents' memory breaks my heart every time.

And so what if R/Hr would have needed counseling. That doesn't make them weak or incompatible in my eyes.

Besides, the shipping is a smart part of the larger story which was taking down Voldemort.

No need to take it personally on the R/Hr comments. This interview highlights more than ever that shipping should be about what YOU think is right - because neither side, H/Hr or R/Hr, can now claim superiority in the authorial intent department. If you think R/Hr are compatible, no one's stopping you. Just as I would continue finding H/Hr preferable if Jo had never given this interview.

I have no issue with the idea of them having counseling. Hell if I'd been through what they've been through (for the majority of their childhood!) I'd be in counseling too. And sometimes counseling can help communication so I think it could be a good thing. Heck, I'd read that fic. :)

IDK, I'm not really getting any negativity for either ship with this interview and I really do think JKR regrets the whole Muggle Net interview fiasco. Or wishes Emerson and Melissa had the decency to not add the 'delusional' comments to the published article. (I've always felt they did it knowing the shit storm it would create.)

Agreed, about needing counseling after all they have been through.

And after reading the whole interview I agree on that neither ship was being talking about in a negative way.
