*flails*

Back when I first heard about the utterly amazing-sounding Star Wars: A Musical Journey - or "Star Wars In Concert," as it seems to be called now - I firmly resolved that if any of the tour cities were within a six hour drive of me, I was going. I figured at the very least I would have to drive to, say, Dallas, which is three hours.

Turns out, ( Read more... )

yay!, star wars, geekery

Yeah, the choices do seem odd. I mean, of course I'm glad they're doing shows in Oklahoma, but I've got a hard time seeing how a state with such a relatively small population warrants one show, let alone two. Unless maybe we're really that much cheaper than Dallas/KC, and so they just decided it was easier to stick it here, between those two cities? I dunno. Then again, they are also doing major upgrades to our Ford Center, and Tulsa's BOK Center is pretty new and shiny too, so maybe it's a question of facility conditions. *shrug*

Not having a show in SF proper really surprises me, especially with the Ranch being so close by there. At least San Jose - well, depending on the time of day - is a doable drive from SF.

God, I know I'd love to be able to see it more than once, from everything I hear of it. But damn, you can bet the tix won't be cheap. Especially for good seats; no way in hell am I sitting nosebleed for SW!

I can't believe there isn't one in NYC :(

That is awesome though! Have a great time and tell us about it ;)

I highly doubt this is the complete, final list - just the first round. There's no WAY New York wouldn't get it!

I am going to assume that not all the tour dates are set because I thought I read there were going to be 40 shows and theres no way they wouldn't put forth ANY east coast shows.

I agree - this is hardly a complete/finalized list. There's no way Oklahoma would get it and not, say, NYC or DC.

Oh, I really hope that Boston ends up on the list. I've never wanted to go to any concert as much as this.
