I think the gift set was a good idea - if it works, it'll save her probably about $100 a month in Starbucks drinks - but man, has finding/getting the syrup itself been a major pain in the ass.

Mom had better like the gift, LOL. ;)

If it makes you feel any better, I got super glue all over my hands a couple weekends ago...luckily, my fingers didn't get stuck together when the glue came squirting out of the little tube unexpectedly...but I was hysterical for a brief period of time when my hands turned white.

But now I know how to get super glue off skin. So I guess something good came out of it. (In case you're interested - you need to soak whatever body part in acetone, then slowly and carefully peel the glue off.)

Yikes! I've gotten plenty of regular old glue on my hands (sometimes deliberately, just because I liked to peel it off when it dried) but I've managed to avoid supergluing myself. Though I did staple my thumb once, so I guess that's just as bad. ;)

The big irritant for me here was the wasted time/money. Spending $9 just to end up with frozen sticky hands and hair (one of my books got drenched too) is not worth it! I still smell like a Starbucks threw up on me.

It was actually kind of scary how quick that crap froze on me; I couldn't even feel my hands when I was unlocking my door. That wind was fucking cold.

Instant freezing of food products in the hair does sound frightening...I probably would've freaked out...

And then, after thawing/washing my hair, I would've been pissed off about the whole wasting money/time thing and getting sticky goo all over a book.

If you decide to replace the bottle, good luck...and be extra special careful this time around. I'm sure your mom will appreciate your efforts!
