What I especially love about these things is that it opens up the door to trying books I might not otherwise have looked at - if it turns out the book stinks, at most I'm out $1. ;)

The booksale here isn't so much a sale as an utter madhouse: it's for the entire library system which covers the 1 million-plus Oklahoma City metro, so it's frickin' huge, and thousands show up. It's loud, it's crowded, your feet and knees will be sore from all the walking and kneeling, but it's WORTH it. :)
