Yay books!

So, I'd asked Dad awhile back whether he knew if he'd be able to snag tickets to the big annual library booksale opening night pre-sale, like he usually does. He said he didn't know, I shrugged it off and resigned myself to going during the regular sale like everyone else ( Read more... )

Lots of books + very teeny price = Definite Win. :D

What I especially love about these things is that it opens up the door to trying books I might not otherwise have looked at - if it turns out the book stinks, at most I'm out $1. ;)

Sweet deal.
I didn't know libraries did that.

I'm not sure how many do, but it's definitely something I'd check into seeing if your local library does. :)

The booksale here isn't so much a sale as an utter madhouse: it's for the entire library system which covers the 1 million-plus Oklahoma City metro, so it's frickin' huge, and thousands show up. It's loud, it's crowded, your feet and knees will be sore from all the walking and kneeling, but it's WORTH it. :)

Wow. if it's like that in Oklahoma City I wonder what it'd be like in New York City.

I'll keep my ears open for one though :)

It really is awesome - if you ever have one in semi-reasonable (or even slightly unreasonable ;)) driving distance, I definitely recommend going.

Oh man, that's AWESOME. I love getting books at a good price. So what if you hardly have time to read them? At least they're there when you do! =D
