Stick with Veronica Mars. You will not be disappointed. I, too, wasn't blown away by the pilot--but trust me, it gets a LOT better, and you are in for a roller coaster ride. Don't read any spoilers.

Glad you continue to enjoy Firefly...Safe was the ep that really made me fall in love with Simon. He is just so heartbreakingly gentle.

Re: Veronica Mars. It's certainly my newest obsession, but it's idyosyncratic enough that I have no idea how it appeals (or not) to other people. I do love the writing and the dialogue though. And the characters do slowly get developed and fleshed out.

Glad to see that you've started watching Veronica Mars :) I didn't get hooked on it until this summer. And the show definitely gets better as it progresses. In my opinion, the pilot episode was one of the weakest. The last two episodes are brilliant, though. And the new season is shaping up to be fantastic also.

Oh man, out of all the brilliant quotes "Our Mrs. Reynolds" is home to, I think my favorite's still Mal's "Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back." Bueeeee.

You're going to have fun with "Jaynestown" coming up. ;)
