On our local NPR station one of the bits of local DC news being reported is that the kitchen at the MacPherson Sq. Occupy encampment has been shut down due to an upsurge in rats in the area

On the news the other night an occupier was sleeping outside their tent due to rats in her tent. I think more than kitchen is not being taken care of.

If the people using the kitchen were not cleaning their own dishes I can believe that there would be a rat problem.
