Being still rather new to LJ, I'm not too sure what a picspam entails other than a lot of photos. So this is a big ol' picspam post from myself! Select whichever cut sounds most appealing. (Don't worry, all images larger than 100x100px have added as links)

We (well, my parents) used to have three goats. We named them Mikkie, Makkie and Mekkie, which is really silly in Dutch, but I can't quite explain it in English. At the moment, only Makkie is still alive, over 15 years old and still going strong!
The women reading letters picture is really touching. And that picture of the African American soldier and his family, I would love to know his/their story....
Finally, I love your Jane Eyre icons!

Getting that picture of the two together was pretty much just a coincidence of timing - that little gal wiggles about constantly and all I could do was point the camera at her and keep clicking!
Your goat names are so sweet!

Would you mind telling me what you think of the "Embellishments" I've been adding to the shoulder? If I decide I like it, I'm going to sew the same around the neck, front and lower edges. But I can't decide if the colors are right. And my simple tunic being what it is, it may look better with no embroidery!

In the pictures, the gold of the whipstitch looks like it compliments the red you used.
I'm leaning towards not being a fan of it in a close up, but I do like the effect from further out, which may be the more important consideration.
Are you going to do the other patterns from Lucy's tunic? I think what I'd do, if it were me, would be to do the all over pattern, and then the edges, and maybe put the edging stitches closer together, more like a satin stitch, so that less red shows. Obviously, though, that'd be a lot more work.

I think I agree with everything you said. I would like to do the all over pattern, but I'm very unsure of my embroidery abilities. I could practice on leftover material...
And I had been trying to do the whipstitches close and tight, but I realize I didn't succeed that well! I will probably rip out what I have done and start over.
