Do you read Bear McCreary's blog at all? He has a lengthy 3-part post up based on 4.17 that's in depth about the music for the episode. It's a really good, if long, read.

ALSO WHAT THE FRAK!? Kara, oh Kara. And Chief.

...I do now. [/music geek] The music for this episode was absolutely, amazing, especially when the song was revealed at the end of it.

My theories about Kara are starting to shift, especially after two episodes ago. Ellen's mentioned the Thirteenth's genetic data was messed with. And Kara matches the descriptions of Daniel.

Oh, Tyrol. You're not catching a break. Ever. Boomer played him like a violin, and it was so hard to watch, because while I had an idea that she might be doing that, I wanted to believe the Chief would get a little happy for once.

I enjoy Bear's blog although I can't read music and have never so much as tried to learn to play an instrument. I love his interviews with cast and crew though - just that extra bit of behind the scenes stuff. And the reasoning behind the musical cues make me watch episodes with a greater appreciation later ( ... )

I played cello from fifth grade up until the first semester of my senior year. So all this music geekery really appeals to me, plus the fact that now I finally know what all the awesome exotic instruments he uses in his scoring are.

That's the other possibility, I think. And his memories get genetically passed onto her, and she taps into whatever it is that Hera's tapping into? They both seem to be on the same wavelength with each other.

Link me to the YouTube clip? I might try to rip it to a MP3.

Hah. Unintentional incest for the whoot? (Kara/Leoben incest would be more hot. xD) Though it would technically be more of a narcissism thing, sleeping with your creations.

The Chief's very open and trusting, though. And Boomer knows that she can take advantage of that.

Those house scenes were absolutely heartbreaking.

And then Saul with his miscarried kid... I'm pretty sure my heart's been shattered by the show.

The reveal made me squee.

Head!Daddy = Head!Leoben = ???

Wait, the Final Five saw "angels" before Earth went splodey boom? I missed that part...

Whatever it is, I think Starbuck (who might be either Daniel or the first hybrid kid?), Hera, and Baltar are all tapping into something larger than all of them.

I don't think Cavil's going to go and murder the fleet. Not just yet at the least. He wouldn't have gone out of his way to go and get Hera if that was the case; he would've just gotten coordinates from Boomer and jumped there and blown them all the split.

Cavil's got plans for Hera. What, I'm not sure just yet.

Yes. Adama will go down with Galactica if the ship does not make it in one piece to wherever they may settle.

No, actually. Do not wish to see, for now?

Oh, Tyrol. I want to hug you and give you nice things.

Seconded. So, so much love.

Ah, that could be why I didn't catch it.

Now, see, the other theory I have about Starbuck that she has become the "arrow of the gods" back from the first/second season, and they were using her to interfere directly.

However, it does make sense that Starbuck, Hera, Baltar, and the others who have these sorts of visions could be tapping into some gods-only frequency.

...I really don't like that idea. Lee already reminds me too much of Bush, I don't want to know what would happen if he had control on both the military and political fronts.
