Emily the strange

I've never liked Emily the strange character. i feel that she is unpersonal... (and also likely because of that stupid goth-wannabes-teenyboopers love her here in this town, please do not get offended if you like her, you could not know, yes?) But now I am glad I do not like her.
She is a pure rip-off!

I knew Rosamond was familiar to me! Nate the Great books were read here often and they are very popular books with children.

What a blatant rip off! The artist needs to be compensated for all past and future use of the image and slogan/writing.

Sickening! It's been said before, but yes, some admission of where the inspiration came from would've been nice as well as some compensation. *sigh*

You know, I feel the same way about Leanne from project runway 5. The judges went on and on about her 'petals/waves' designs in the finale. But seriously, on the back of one of my vintage Threads magazines is a picture of a gorgeous jacket (from the 40's I think), with the exact (albeit, executed a millions times better) petal design as a peplum. So yeah, way to go Leanne with your innovative design. *gag*
