That's me in the corner, that's me in the spotlight...

Anybody have any inspirational lyrics? For writing stories, and what not. I'm lacking in the inspiration, although I started a Lucius/Harry fic (like I stated in last post), and hopefully there'll be al ittle plot in there and not PWP. Because although we all love p0rn, it needs jsut a little more than that for me to be happy with my fics ( Read more... )

Well, I was listening to Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah yesterday and had a strong urge to write some Harry/Draco fluff. Not sure if that works for Lucius/Harry though. Scratch that. The thought of a fluffy Lucius/Harry fic is too frightening for words.

Yes, I was listening to that the other day and I thought fluff! wonderful song. The Lucius/Harry is quite angsty, and nit fluff one bit. But thanks for the suggestion, I think a new plot bunny is coming just from looking over the lyrics...(yeah! Now let's just see if I actually write something).

Hello, here from Daily Snitch.

I've actually found that every time I listen to Jem's Finally Woken album and Sarah McLachlan's Afterglow album, I have the nearly inescapable urge to write fics. I'm also inspired by Velvet Revolver's lyrics, "Love is Only a Feeling" by The Darkness, and the tone of Sigur Ros music.

Sorry for crashing on your lj!

Ah, you aren't crashing my LJ! We always welcome people with rainbow icons ;).
I haven't heard Jem's Finally Woken but I own Afterglow. Haven't listened to that in ages, that was quite an inspiring CD though if I remember right. The bittersweet plot bunnies that taste like sweettarts come from that album!
Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll look into them!

I love anything and EVERYTHING by Billy Joel. In his day he was *it* for teen culture, and even now his songs are relevent for every generation. They make you want to cry, laugh, dancing, sing, think...

Too bad he's drunk, or else I would marry him.

P.S. Happy birthday Bruce Springsteen!

Springsteen is all you need. Well, and the Beatles, u2 and the Counting Crows. And some Velvet Underground.

But really, you could do a lot just with Bruce. *g*

What about that new Linkin' Park song? Breaking the Habit?

Ah, I wrote a fic to that a couple months of ago (I got it originally off the album, before the video came out). It turned out bad, and never got published, but I might have to take another shot at it. Thanks for the link!

I just love that song and I was going to use it, but I couldn't decide for what and I though you would do a better job.
