BUT I JUST WANT TO MAKE A SCREEN CAP!

Apr 12, 2011 17:53

I use a Mac and have made screen caps of Iron Man and Iron Man 2 before when I load the movie into the computer. But now, it just makes a white and gray checkered background where the movie should be. Anything else on my screen show up in the picture, but not the movie.

Has anyone encountered this problem??

I've not had that problem... However, it depends on how you take the screencaps. Either holding Shift+Command+3 or by using Snap N Drag. I know DVD player won't allow the quick key screenshots while it's in use.

Oh it won't? That's so strange. Then I wonder how I did it before. But yea, I do shift command 3 (or 4). Are you saying I should use Snap N Drag?

I'm Mac-illiterate. I'm afraid I can't help so I'm just here for moral support. *hugs*

I had this same problem when I went to screencap IM2 when it came out--got halfway through the movie before realizing it was doing the checkerback.

Apple made it so when you use DVD player, it wont let you screencap. VLC will sometimes work, but I had two other programs I tried that also did the checkerback.

It's immensely stupid. I'm annoyed.

Found one yet that works?

Love your icon by the way.

So far VLC works with the standard methods of screencapping on macs, but I can't get the tracking for picking scenes to work right. That could just be me being retarded though. Let me know if you find something else.

And I like my icon too. :D Icons are fun. :P
