But does anyone know how to upload a gif to tumblr? I tried it as a picture and it was just frozen as a cap. I tried it as a video and it wouldn't process. Help?

You have to post it in a text and put the image url.

Someone asked the HP gif tumblr the same question, and they said "Your GIF is too big. It has to be under 500KB in size or tumblr will display it as a still image." Could that help?
