Only 6 weeks until San Diego Comic Con!! And just a month after that for DragonCon! So little time and so many things to do.

Monaco Pepper Potts is actually all finished. I wanted it in time for the Iron Man 2 premier. The search is still on for a nice purse. I'm thinking of a knock-off Dior hand bag. Hopefully I can find one in navy. But I'm not ( Read more... )

I've always wanted to go to SDCC! :)

I'm sure your Ironette will knock socks off with or without a group as well. We know you'll definitely have girls with you for D*C though.

It's unfortunate about the unreliable seamstress. It is also pretty common too...sadly. They take on too much work or are just too busy in real life then are afraid to contact the customer. *sigh*

The seamtress thing actuall worked out. My friends who made my Monaco Pepper dress said they can do it. I'm paying a little extra for the rush job, but it's taken care of. I'm actually working on puches for Madame Masque as I type!

I actually co-mod this site: http://community.livejournal.com/ironettedancers/

There's not enough going to SDCC, so I'd LOVE it if you joined! There's about 5 of us so far for SDCC.

Oh no, this isn't the community. It is my LJ. I was just giving you the link to the community.

I don't have any tutorials as I made mine on my own without patterns and it was all trial and error. I used 2 yards of red and 1 yard of gold 4-way stretch metallic spandex. The lights are still still a problem for everyone, but some girls used tap lights and I found that bike reflector lights work, too.
