If you could time travel what would you do? Surprisingly, I don't think I'd go back to Elizabethan England. I just don't think I'd blend enough. Although, maybe I'd put on a mask and try and fudge it enough to get into the Globe to see a couple things. I think more than anything I'd go see Led Zeppelin around 1974, see The Who probably around

As for seeing The Beatles, you should head for Hamburg 1960-61 (if I am remembering things correctly) so you can see them just as they became THEM.
As long as I was just popping in for a visit and wasn't required to live there for very long, I'd visit a whole bunch of different historic (and pre-historic) periods including Elizabethan London. Which ones would I visit? All of them!!!! I'm not as eager to visit periods like the 1970's because I've already lived thru them once, I don't need to do THAT again......(wait....when did the 1970's become a historic time period?....)

I thought about seeing the early Beatles, but the really early stuff doesn't do it for me. Although seeing the Cavern Club in all it's dive glory might be worth it.

The grassy knoll in Dallas, 1963 - to satisfy my curiosity around JFK conspiracy theories once and for all
Whitechapel, London, 1888 - again, to satisfy my curioisity about the identity of Jack the Ripper and prove it WASN'T my cousin
The site of my other house in Colchester, AD60, to watch Queen Boudicca and her army of 100,000 besiege the town, slaughter the Roam garrison and burn the city to the ground (from a safe distance - might be a bit gruesome up close). If you dig deep enough any place in Colchester today, you will find a thick layer of red soot from the destruction of the city.
Chatham, 1870 - ask Charles Dickens how he meant "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" to end

Hmmmm... where would I go. Language no barrier and I'm guaranteed safety, I'd go to Renaissance Italy, Ancient Rome around the time of Nero (just to see if he was as bad as history says), and Woodstock.
