That actually made me cry. Oh my. Wow. You really wrote them well, especially as children. And I never felt like... you were using the sexual bits to be arousing, it was just... heart wrenching and I loved it. Really, really great.

Tom pulls his armful of everything to his feet and slips a supporting arm around his waist.

I loved that line. I also loved Tom's protectiveness, because it was done in such a true way. Or you know, it felt like TRUE human emotion/interaction. The whole thing made me feel very sorry for them, because in a way they seem doomed to have this dysfunctional and not completely satisfying relationship forever. It also made me very happy that they have each other, too. Because the characters you wrote, need each other.

Anyway. *sniff* It's way too early.
