I'm glad that you've said this, since I was certainly thinking as much. It would be foolish for us to simply sit on our hands and hope that the troops stuck in the living world will be able to indefinitely perform soul burials without reinforcements or emergency medical aid. Being stuck here just leaves us vulnerable.

If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.

I do not have anyone in the Twelfth Division I would trust enough to request help. That leaves relying on those who are already as deep in this as I am, it seems.

Are you certain, Isane-san? Every step we take leads us into deeper water. You know I would welcome your aid, but...

I'm certain. I'll help in any way possible, consequences be damned. If worse comes to worst, we have to be prepared. Even if we can't directly challenge Aizen right now, but I'm not going to simply roll over while he tampers with the balance of the universe.

Very well. Then we should get started without delay. We must do whatever we can, and I suggest we begin with the kidou constructs in the senkaimon. I understand the Twelfth has made many improvements since the Research Institute was founded, but the gates are of ancient origin.

Please join me sometime this evening, then. I will make a point of having out the good barley tea that was to your liking.

He does know, but he is likely aware that the loss of souls due to our inability to travel would bother the Gotei as a whole far more than it would bother him.

It is a dangerous suggestion, Ise-san, but I believe it to be necessary. We've stayed in one place for long enough; it's time we took steps to move forward.

Your composure is commendable, Kuchiki-kun. And a certain comfort, as well.

We do not know the full extent of his power, but I am weary of cowering quite so deep. We must take measures to both protect our people and our purpose, and to be able to eventually mount a proper resistance.

Thank you. Panic is sometimes tempting, but it's not something any of us can indulge.

We will never know if we don't test it. I have no desire to spend lives on another fruitless rebellion, but that simply means we must plan carefully, not put down our swords and do his bidding. There is too much at stake.

Of course he knows there are greater things hanging in the balance; he simply does not care.

I can't be the only captain with squads stuck on the other side of the Senkaimon. If you need anything of me in researching other possibilities, let me know.

My dear lieutenant, bear in mind that we must move silently to be in the least effective. Anger and frustration is well and good -- indeed, to be expected -- but take care not to let it rule your actions here.

That said, have you any ideas for this alternate mode of travel?

Well of course gates outside the standard sanctioned passages can be constructed--there's one in my basement, after all. I have not yet attempted to use it, for I wonder if it won't alert Aizen and his cronies to a potential unlocked window, as it were, but there is always that back door to consider should something come up. The same goes for the Gargantas the phones can produce; I am not certain if Garganta fields will be being monitored as well, so I would suggest saving those for dire need.
