I didn't go to ours. However, this is the first year buying fireworks has been legal in (parts of) New York -- but only up to 5 July. After lying awake through the booming last night, I almost wish they hadn't. They'll be legal to buy again for New Year's, but I can't imagine going out in the cold and snow to light fireworks.
