I haven't unlocked my last entry, and in general have been avoiding online. Pretty much I feel like any words I type or say just dissipate or are twisted around. Nothing I fear, am hurt by, or have ever done matters. ( Read more... )

CTV when it was owned by Chum Media (now owned by horrid Bell) used to show shows from MTV late at night, and "Live From Abney Road"(sp?) was one of them and La Roux/Elly Jackson preformed it. If I started watching Buffy as a new viewer today, I don't know if I'd like it. There's an awful lot of drama and some soap operaishness involved. Like the whole Willow/Xander/Cordelia thing. And Joss Whdeon's 'no one can ever be in a long-term, happy relationship!' thing.

As it is, though, Buffy's more happily nostalgic.

Like you say, Oz was generally a trustworthy and calm character.

I also remember the Chef episode on South Park. It was shortly after - and because of - their Scientology episode, wasn't it?

I love "A New Man" as well. Hell, I love Giles in general!

The 'people being stupid and cheating/doing other terrible things to their significant other' sadly doesn't get any better from season five on.

I wish I could bring you here for Christmas. Or have transporters and organise a grand get-together.
