So, meeting Tom Baker would be neat, and would make a fun anecdote. Or if not an anecdote, then at least a bragging point. But there's no practical value otherwise.

On the other hand, having Christian friends - particularly ones on the same continent - can be of high value to your mental, social, and emotional everyday life.

So I say go to the party, and forgot the Baker. Food is more important than merch. If you had wealth in time and money, then I'd say TB's name on some DW merch would be worth doing.
