There hasn't been a lot of it lately. Intensifying war in southern Lebanon. Three soldiers in Iraq threatening to murder a fourth if he told anyone that they had already murdered three Iraqis.

Take the embryonic stem cell issue for example. What capitalist wouldn't want more science research if it led to expensive drugs and treatments?
Ralph Reed might be another good example. By aligning himself with the power--that is, the money--he tainted his moral high ground as a Christian conservative... and thus, couldn't even survive a Republican primary in Georgia.
I, for one, wouldn't mind one bit seeing the Radical Right fracture.

I think, too, that as the Christian right has gotten more power the actual outlines of their program have become clearer. People who might have voted for a "family values" platform out of a general sense of righteousness - or homophobia - aren't necessarily all that eager to embrace the idea that the impending apocalypse makes global warming irrelevant.
