I was delighted to see a new story from you! :D
This first part was great, I loved picturing the little boys playing Cowboy and Indian in the forest. Poor Sammy getting tied to a tree and left there! Glad he was OK. Dean was very concerned about his little brother, he would never hurt him on purpose.
I felt very sorry for Dean recieving that punishment from John, I can hardly imagine how horrible it must have felt for the little boy to follow his Dad into the woods to cut a switch that would soon be applied to his bare butt. OUCH! :(
Wonderfully written, and I love the last image of Dean lying on his belly in the backseat of the Impala and John putting music on.
Going to read part 2 now.

This was a big lapse for Dean in the usual care he uses towards Sam. John recognized the severity of his son's actions. He chose to follow his own father's teachings, Consequences fit the crime. There was no hairbrush because Dean left it at Pastor Jim's so I needed John to improvise. I wanted John to share his own experience with being switched so they cut it together. I was hoping 3 strokes wasn't too harsh. I agree, poor Dean.

I think it was a nice touch for John to share his own excperience with the switch. I don`t think 3 strokes was too harsh, I`m just not big on that implement. :)

I'm not so big on a switch either but it fit so nicely into the fic that I stayed with it. I kinda cringe at even the 3 strokes John applied. Next time Dean won't leave the hairbrush behind.

Awww, this was cute. i can picture the boys playing cowboys and indians :). Knowing personally what a switch feels like on one's butt and legs, I feel sorry for Dean. Bet he won't tie Sammy up again :)
