I learn Japanese at the CC @ Elias. This guy is a Chinese and he speaks almost zero English. So he speaks in Japanese often and then translate it for us (read: my sister and me - the only Malays in class). I feel that after the first lesson, I was overwhelmed, but after the 2nd, I am alright.
I spent the weekend practising Hiragana, and like you, got very excited that I could read SOME. Hahaha, I only memorised up till "hi", so my Hiragana is very limited at the moment. Heeh. But watching jdrama helps a lot too.
YES. I need a buddy too. Which level are you at? I think your Japanese is really good already liao because I cannot even type a whole sentence without any help. I think once my elementary is done with, I want to continue all the way. Then after that, take Korean. HAHA. Or Thai. :D
Learn all the Asian languages first, then move to European. HAHA.
Totally! My exams will be over in a few weeks and then i'll be FREE!!!!!! WOOT!!!!!!!
The first few lessons are okay one. Just memorise the hiragana. Actually hiragana is pretty easy, it's the katakana that kills me cos i keep forgetting those that i dun see v often. LOL! Omg chinese speaking only japanese teacher? Jia lat...
Hell ya i heard jdrama helps...more than anime cos anime's japanese are super casual so what we learn won't be heard too often there. Damn!
I'm only at intermediate. Just barely above elementary so no way i'm not good yet. I'm only familiar with a few sentences which they keep repeating in class. You just started so of cos still dunno much sentences, but hey at least we know how to intro ourselves rite? ^_^ Hahaa wahhh planning to take so many language...i'm happy to hopefully be good at this one.
