Haha some of the time. I'm the first to admit that sometimes I can be a bit mean and unnecessarily rude. She just wants a bit of attention.

Perhaps she was crying out of nostalgia and not necessarily sadness. And, I don't think you're a bad grandchild. The generation gap between grandparents and grandchildren can strain the relationship, plus the health problems and such that can come with old age.

I wish I could have seen (maternal) my grandmother a final time before she passed on.

I definitely will especially since I didn't really know my paternal grandmother all that well.
