(For someone who actually dislikes zombies, I seem to be talking about them a lot. Also, the best zombie movie I have seen lately is
ParaNorman. It's adorable.)

And isn't that the best kind of craft? That are things you can use in your every day life? I got a pile of those really lovely rags in black and various kinds of purple. They are AWESOME! And I still use them. :-D

Yeah. That's one of the reasons I never felt quite at home in art school (Estetiskt program på gymnasiet), because I wasn't political enough. My classmates wanted to do Art that changes the world, or at least talks very loudly about the changes they wanted to see. I realised I wanted to do beautiful things for everyday use, to surround people with beauty. Because I believe that people who have nice things around them become nicer people by it. ( I want to change the world too, but in a much subtler way...I'm not the type to stand on the barricades and shout.)
And I'm glad to hear it was a good gift, that you still use them. :-) (See the pink rag in the top middle? You were supposed to get that one too, but when I took it off the board I had it pinned out on it left a pink square on the board, and the bottom of the rag was light pink. And the topside was still the original hot pink. I won't be buying that yarn again, I think.)

Surrounding people with beautiful things is also important! Should not be underestimated that. It makes people feel better about themselves and all that. Which is important to!
Weird yarn though... Bleeding colour all over the place!

Yarn or fabric that bleed or run are always a risk. But this yarn did it in such a weird way! It didn't bleed much in the wash, it was still a nice hot pink when I put it on the board to dry. I mean, that's where things usually go wrong - the colour ends up in the washing water, or on anything white in the same load. But this kept the colour beyond that point, and then it ended up "falling off" the backside of the knitting. There was even a sharp line down the side of the rag, something I didn't know was possible! Really, really weird.
