Said in reference to one of four 12ft x 6ft mirrors deciding to detach itself from the wall of the green room and shatter 45 minutes before our show tonight. Holy crap! I'm glad to hear nobody was seriously hurt. That sounds like it could've gotten ugly if somebody was standing right underneath it. Time for new wall supports...? o_o

That's just it--the damn things don't have any supports. They're "nail-glued" to the walls and it's completely up to code, but you'd think with a half-ton piece of glass someone might put one or two little hooks in it or something. The chairmen were already on the phone with contractors tonight and they're baffled by it suddenly falling.

I'm standing there going "uh, it's GLUED ON."

Oh god, no wonder they fell down. If it were up to me, I'd be finding a way to bolt that thing to the wall. How the hell did they think glue would hold it? Pretty much every adhesive ever eventually loses its stick. I work in an antique shop, I should know. Even price tags fall off of things after a couple of years. D:
