Hee! I kind of like Bruno Mars, but he always feels like a guilty pleasure for some reason. And of course, the reason this song sounds like the Police is that in both cases the artists were dipping into the reggae, which is a little closer to home for Mars (Puerto Rican/Filipino ... I had to look it up after seeing him in this video) than for Sting and the gang.
