Oooh, I'll play. You know, this isn't really anything, and yet it's one of my favorite paragraphs out of anything I've ever written.
All the beautiful boys rattled home broken. Shot out the lightbulbs and stepped on the glass. Three years ago snared in recurring dreams, their feet hit the floor to the beat of their first dance. Treading ever so softly on expectations, while in the future they stomp tomp tomp tomp. Tremble to still.
"Of course that's what Gojyo had on his mind when he followed Hakkai up the stairs to their room later - watching his buddy's butt only barely hinted at beneath his trim, tidy trousers. Maybe even the back of the guy's neck is enough! And then the light gleamed on the last part of Hakkai's disguise, the part Gojyo hadn't been thinking about: the three little stripes of metal on his lover's ear. Because Hakkai was the only person Gojyo had known who could get a little too naked.
"But maybe, deep down, Gojyo really liked that, too."

"Sanzo breathed a cloud of tobacco smoke into the cool, darkening air, and watched his hand move, seemingly of its own accord, to rest briefly on the brown head at his knee. Goku turned his head slowly, surprise and concern on his face. Sanzo had no idea what his own face might look like, but whatever Goku saw there made him smile. His eyes gleamed as gold as the sunlight on his diadem, and in them Sanzo saw wonder, and reverence, and affection. In the distance, he heard Gojyo calling

Can you link me to that second story again? I know I've read it before but I want to read it again now. A lot. ;-) I might have a song for that too but I have to think on it.
Goku remembered planets with seasons, warm springs sliding into hot summers, fruit ripening on the vine. The time passed so differently in the temple, only the Earth's position and Sanzo's slow decline showing that things had changed at all.
Alice is whispering into her ear, leading her into a darkened corner of the club, kissing her. Lain opens her mouth to her lover's tongue, presses against her, and this is right. It has to be, this has to be exactly what Alice would do and precisely what would happen when she did.
Don't consider whether there is really an Alice.
Lain needs more, and not just the feel of Alice's neck under her lips, not just Alice's hands tracing down her back. She needs the smell of smoke, a crowd of nameless boys staring, consequences, society. Action and reaction and laws of physics and everything that will make Alice's lips under hers be exactly that.
