Oh hey, which filter subscriptions are you using on ABP? Mine catches the ads on ANN and CrunchyRoll pretty nicely but the Hulu ones slip through, and I watch so little on Hulu that I've not gotten around to trying to tweak it more.
One of the defaults! I watch nothing on Hulu on this machine, so I don't really think about it. It just says it's EasyList (English). It might be that my connection's slow and that's what's borking the ads too, though the video played fine.
Nope, it's definitely not your connection! I had a different filter subscription going, adding EL on top of that does block the ads now! Although you still have to wait for the designated period the ad was supposed to run for, but it's just a static nag-screen with no audio, the better to be able to skip to reading stuff in another window without having to listen to the same ad for the umpteenth time. (Honestly, they run few enough ads compared to broadcast TV that I wouldn't even mind sitting through them as much if they just had more variety...)
I've seen people talking about those oxygen chamber things doing something to Barnaby's memories. I haven't checked it myself, but does Barnaby only start seeing Jake after he starts using those?
At the moment, I'm wondering if the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants Ouroboros is all NEXT superiority or if that was just Jake. Because you could see HeroTV as a kind of NEXT "minstrel show", NEXT's are ok as long as they're entertaining us.
I love this show. 'Pull a Takatori?' Where else would such a comment make sense?
Jake's really fucking terrible fashion sense
It's so awful that I really love it. And now we know where Kriem picked up her fashion cues from.
I'm very interested now in Kaede's power. If she truly does mimic other NEXT powers by touching/being around a NEXT, who was she close to that temporarily turned her into Magneto a human magnet?
Ah, and poor Bunny. He's starting to crack, and I'm enjoying his trauma a bit too much. *g* I'm getting the feeling the cliffhanger with episode 25 is going to make all of fandom spazz out in magnificent fashion.
Tiger won't retire. HE WON'T. *cries* I'm certain he's going to develop a second power as his first fades away. *cries* And Kaede will enroll in Hero Academy, you watch: she can spend more time with her father and crush on Barnaby, only to lose out to Kotetsu. *cheers

I KNOW, RIGHT? And who would've guessed the show would actually be good?
I blame too much Alice in Wonderland in the formative years.
I said over at Red's that I wonder if we're going to start getting a better idea here of how common NEXT really are (or aren't). It certainly seems like there are a lot of people who could be choosing to hide their powers for their own safety or that of others.
I WANT TIGER TO RETIRE AND NOT RETIRE, I AM AS CONFUSED AS BUNNY. Poor kid, I hope he's okay.
It's just such a fun show! And I don't think I'm even halfway through the kinkmeme and SO MUCH GOOD STUFF.

MAVERICK IS A NEXT.
And has messed with Bunny's brain regarding the way he remembers his parents' advances in robotics.
And while I'm theorising, Maverick was Legend's sekkrit gay lover, because why not.

OMG, what if he died in that fire as a four year old, and Maverick put him back together as a robot? Or cyborg-thing.

Yeah. Kriem's story certainly has a lot of those undercurrents. (And risking their lives for us.)
I KNOW.
