This may be the first time I've watched a show where I don't hate or get majorly annoyed with anyone. Well, not yet: I've got my eye on you, Mr. Maverick. And Mr. Mayor, you should grow a pair, ya wuss.
Oh, Tiger: you are in for a world of hurt. I hope spending time with your family in the next episode helps. Start opening up to Bunny the people who care about you: you don't want to go down Legend's road.
Oh, Yuri: the cute almosts makes up for the fact that you are a homicidal maniac. Almost. And now I want all-kinds-of-screwed-up Kotetsu/Yuri Yuri/Kotetsu fic: yes, I'm shallow.
I adore this series: my only fear is that the plotline is actually moving very fast, and I hope this isn't a case of starting off really strong and then running out of steam. much like Kotetsu's powers. *cries* I think it will go from Tiger's issues with his powers quickly into Bunny's upcoming angst relating to his parent's work and untimely deaths. From there on, who knows?
I knoooow! I like the cast, they're generally not making inexplicably stupid choices to further the plot, what is this?
I hope Tiger talks to his mom. And Kaede should help set him straight. She won't admire him no matter what, lol.
My one caveat about the kink meme/fandom is a really, really minor one: People are saying it's surprising Kotetsu is wearing his wedding ring five years after his wife died, and I am sitting here going five years is NOTHING. I mean, not that I'm judging anyone who takes their ring off after a year or whatever, but duuude. Anyway! t-and-b-anon, and tiger_and_bunny for all your needs in life, pretty much.

WHAT?!? I'm with you, five years is nothing.
One reason so many like Kotetsu is that he is a good, well-meaning, loving guy: he loves his mom and daughter, he loves his job, he loves being a hero. Of course, he loves his wife, he always will!
Geez, Kotetsu has a really big heart: he can love Tomoe and find love again.
Yeah, I hate to be all Bitter Old Fandom Queen, but five years is a lot when you're 19, but once you're over thirty...yeah, no. (I think especially when you have a kid.)
YES. I felt sure the ultimate reason would involve someone stealing their robotics research for Evil Purposes, and involve a more thorough explanation of wtf Ouroborus is. But Maverick being evil makes sense.
I've been wondering how much of HeroTV is staged since the first episode. For a magical future utopia(?) Sternbuild seems to have metric ton of terrorist attacks. And Director Lady comes off as pretty amoral, they made a big point of that early in the show. The Obama-esque Mayor seems to be under Maverick's thumb, and the whole situation with the head Justice of the city being an insane vigilante... Yeah. There's a lot of really dark business/political intrigue and corruption hinted at throughout the series so far.
Plus, with the set up in this episode for Yuri's past and Kotetsu's ultimate disillusionment/betrayal by Mr. Legend, it would make sense for Barnaby to go through a similar disillusionment/betrayal with Maverick. A+ Great call.
People over on tiger_and_bunny have been suspicious of him for a while, but this is just TOO MUCH. The whole 'and he was with me the day my parents died' thing? TOO MUCH.
That's a really good question. It's hard to say, because this is a world where metahumans exist, and that could easily affect the crime rate or the nature of crimes. But yeah, the whole structure seems weird at best.
