"What?!" Little John demanded. "Open the door for that traitor?"
"What difference does it make?" Robin shot back, irritated more by the situation than by John, but on edge either way.
John glared at him for a moment, then looked to the others. "Open the door-- so we can kill him before we die."
"John, calm down*," Robin muttered, readying himself to stop John should it prove necessary. Will lifted the bar and Djaq opened the door just enough to permit them to enter.

As Allan explained himself, Marian's eyes fell on Robin, relieved to see him nod when Allan said they had to trust him.
"What's he doing here?" Much pointed at her. As Allan opened his mouth to answer, she pulled the helmet off, letting it drop to the ground at her feet.
She looked directly at Robin as she spoke. "I'm here to ensure you have more than half a plan to get out of here."

That was, until it became clear that it was no man with Allan. Robin grinned briefly at Marian, despite the fear that hit him suddenly, that she was now in the same situation the rest of them were. Still, there was no denying that he was very, very glad to see her. "What do you have in mind?" he asked, too tense to tease her as he would normally do.

"Allan has managed to convince Ellingham that Vaisey wants you back at the castle. We are to escort you out of here. The mercenaries believe they are to be paid in full, and that is all they care about."
She looked at the five of them, standing opposite herself and Allan, her gaze finally settling on Robin once more. She could see it in their eyes, they had already decided how this would have to end.
"There is no reason for this to end in a fight."

The taunt had gone so much better than he had planned. They had gotten into the castle, gotten to Vaizey, gotten out again...
Marian had told Gisborne she loved him. It was glorious. She was glorious.
He had no idea what he said to the gang when they returned to camp, some sort of banter. Or whatever. All he wanted was a moment alone with Marian.
Once he could do so, he left camp, walking a short distance away to process everything... there was a lot to process. Hopefully, she would follow.

Whilst she knew he would like to have heard the words she'd said, and surely would enjoy on some level that his enemy had also heard them, she didn't know if he would tell her it had been an unnecessary risk. A part of her acknowledged that it might not have been the best idea, but that had been outweighed by a need to finally have the man know the truth, to have everything out in the open. To stop the endless pretence, the games she was forced to play.
She reached him once she had moved a short distance in to the trees. Stopping, she simply watched him for a moment, in an effort to figure out his mood.

There had been a moment, when she had flung her words at Gisborne, when he thought that part of himself would die along with her. Murder had been in Gisborne's eyes, and Robin did not want to dwell on what might have happened, had things not gotten so chaotic and distracted him.
Turning, Robin gave Marian a smile and held out his hand for her to come and take. He suspected that she might want to begin the conversation, and was giving her the opportunity, in case his suspicion was correct.

"Well. That was quite eventful, wasn't it?" She kept hold of his hand, despite her joking.
