I know! I almost wish that it had been evenly bad throughout so I could've avoided it sooner.

What's the premise for the story? *too lazy to look it up on amazon*

Edward Moon is an illusionist (for lack of a better term) who sometimes helps the police solve mysteries. It's set in victorian London. The book starts off with Moon trying to solve a murder.
