Those wiser than myself (and repeat sufferers) have informed me that if I have lost my voice then it is *certainly* laryngitis, even if it doesn't hurt and I don't have blisters on my throat. So I might take tomorrow off work since it's actually an illness and not just, y'know, me abusing my voice. It's pretty dismal, I will say, but on the plus

I had Laryngitis once! Couldn't talk for a week. I had to carry around a little notebook and pen in order to communicate. When I inevitably lost it, I used interpretive dance.
