God, this is... perfect. Utterly amazing, and stunning, and layered and deep, and... I don't have the words to put it into language properly. Except for that I love how it has the epicness of K/S so very at its centre and shows its immutable nature, and yet so subtly.

Fantastic writing.

I love the idea that even if timelines and realities were changed, Kirk and Spock would still somehow end up meeting each other and forming a strong connection. There's something, well, star-crossed about their relationship, and I have a soft spot for pairings like that. I think that's where this piece came from.
