Congratulations on the MoME award.

'A man picks up a stone where his tent has been packed away outside the city walls. The surface of the stone is cold and moist against his fingertips; it is full of scars. The horses are waiting and the armies too, and the White City is bidding its farewell to them.

He drops the stone among others, and no longer looks for stories in it. He knows now that stories may bend and break, and that sky cannot be chained within stone.'

I like your way of writing that makes fate and characters' lives come alive and entwined, and shows their feelings about such things with a delicate touch.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave feedback. It's always lovely to hear from readers. I tend to be fascinated by relationships where free will and fate, duty and desire define the tensions of the characters' experience and choices, and for some reason I find myself repeatedly writing Aragorn and Legolas in such a relationship.

Also, apologies for taking a full week to reply. I don't get comments by email, so it sometimes takes me a while to notice when a comment has been left.

Thank you again for your kind words.

I know what you mean. I found a review left on 20th Jan I had no idea was there. No worries. Love what you say about your characters. That seems to come over in your fics, yes. It's a pleasure, as well, to leave a comment. They are lovely fics.
