It's so like Vernon to hit Harry just because he can do something Dudley can't...
The last part, about Harry's fear of the green light, is really touching. It makes you hurt, reading a so young Harry who isn't so disillusioned about Petunia yet, and thinks she has to love her sister and show it, yet she doesn't do anything except "She sat heavily on the floor and bit her lip and she was shaking but couldn't answer". And that, too, is so a Petunia thing to do!
You wrote perfectly every character! ^^

I never got around to telling you before--or maybe I've just forgotten--but I loved this.
