I should honestly be able to come up with a better comment than that, but I'm really in awe of you not only being able to come up with the idea to write the fic so we're going backwards in time, knowing just enough to wind back all the foreshadowing to the place where it first began, but also being able to write it so effectively.
Oh jesus, this is perfect. Like, I knew you were writing it and I was waitingwaitingwaiting, because Ryan/Keltie/Brendon is such a kink in my head these days, but actually reading it ... I'm sitting here smiling like an idiot, dude. It's just as it should be. Gorgeous, sexy, frightening, soft.
The whole bit about Keltie and Brendon being the same person, but different enough to leave Ryan incomplete - GUH, KILLED ME.
You are amazing. Consistently awesome in every way. *hugs*
Aw! I'm honestly really, really glad that this worked for you and that you enjoyed it so much. I'm all smiles here because of your comment! Thanks so much for reading. *hugs*
and it's strange, because up until recently i didn't even know who Keltie was. (which is oh so typical)And i don't really know much about her (which i doubt anyone does but if they know nothing then i know less) but i've seen a picture and though she may not be the most pretty girl in my mind, i'm not one to judge. (no, no, not at all) And if this was a reality, i really wouldn't mind. I really wouldn't because you've managed to take these people and characterize them so well and it fits this idea. Because i think way too many people in the slash community are so negative toward any girl in the mix (at least in a lovely way) and that these characters somehow stand in the way of this big gay love that the boys share. and i almost hate that in a way because sexuality and love is this huge, huge changing ordeal where you really shouldn't have a limit. and if you find a person (or two or three) and you love them enough, i think that's all you really need
( ... )
Oh wow. Just. I've honestly read this comment several times because it just hits me low in the stomach and makes me really happy that I took the chance and wrote this. I'm really glad it worked for you and that I was able to make this seem natural and just. Yeah, wow, I don't even really know what to say aside from thank you. So thank you. ♥
I really liked this a lot. My favorite part had to be;
“You realize,” Spencer says one day when they walk into the kitchen to see Brendon and Keltie throwing marshmallows at each other, “that you’re effectively dating the girl version of Brendon.”
because of the funny. Then you followed it up with this;
Sometimes it’s completely subtle and sometimes it’s obvious, the difference between them. Maybe someone else wouldn’t be able to tell but Ryan can and Ryan kind of wishes he couldn’t.
which is equally awesome, because good job bringing the ouch!
