I use Yahoo's paid business site service to host my place while a friend of mine uses a place called 1 and 1 Webhosting. Yahoo allows you to have a blog on your site with the basic service. I'm not certain if the 1and1 service allows blogs on the sites but their pricing is better than what I'm paying for per month (I find staying on Yahoo easier for me so I don't mind the price I'm paying). Also, if you know what blogging module you want to use you can usually find decent webhosting places for a small fee per month that they recommend will work with it. Wordpress is a good place to start there.

1and1: http://www.1and1.com/ (They're currently having a sale where a domain is under $3 per month)

Wordpress: http://wordpress.org/ (The places they list are under $10 per month for basic sites)

Hope this helps you out some.

Once you do have a site make sure to provide links to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Baby Seal Clubbers Association, and Dykes on Bikes.
