Oh, I do love this! The connection and feeling not-quite-alone, which makes sense given these two's unique bond.

As a sidenote, it's lovely to see T_W still going and you still writing for it. Not sure if it or you ever stopped, or if I was just that thoroughly checked out, but it's nice nonetheless.

Aw, thank you! I reread the section in RotK about Merry having to ride on the funeral wain since he was Théoden's esquire, and it struck me that that must have been tough on him. And lonely since Pippin was riding with the soldiers from Gondor. We can only hope that Eowyn was nearby.

T_W is fifteen years old this year! There should be a special challenge.

Thank you! I've always loved the friendship between Eowyn and Merry. It's much more understated in the books than in the movies, but it is still there.
