LOST 5x06: 316

For an Oceanic Six-centric episode, I was pleasantly surprised.

Spoiler-y rant beneath the cut! )

lost, rant, rebecca mader, daniel faraday, jeremy davies, daniel/charlotte, charlotte lewis

Locke > Jack even when he's totally dead. You go, Locke. You GO.

Seriously! But, then again, I feel that everyone > Jack. So . . . I'm a tad bias. ;)

FRAAAAAAAAAAAAANK!

I have to agree with you, I was going in this episode completely unexcited and really liked it!

Ben just owns, and I really like your theory with Sayid beating him up on purpose. A friend and I though it had been Desmond, like your mom. You never know!

Your Jate paragraph was really funny. I really cannot stand them, I feel Kate just wants something when she's upset and makes us females look so bad!

Yeah! I think a lot of us were really upset, and I think this was actually a nice cushion episode to lessen the blow before we return to seeing Daniel as a wreck which he will no doubt be. ;_;

Ben does own! He's one of my favourite characters! :D I would be happy with either Sayid or Desmond having been the one to beat Ben up, because either way, it's fairly entertaining. I totally turned to my mom and was like "Ben's been beaten up, must be Wednesday!" xD

I can't stand them either. Obviously, haha! But I totally agree, Kate does set a bad precedent for women on the show; she's gotten progressively worse as it's gone on. She used to be cool, now she's pretty much a whore, sorry to say.

Hah, yes trademark Lost point: Beat up Ben!

Oh I agree absoulutely, Kate and Jack are sickening. I actually called Kate that in my recap!!

Kate and Jack were both decent during the first few seasons, but they both went downhill fast after that. Like on roller skates. xD

I can't even say anything because you covered everything that I loved about this episode. There was no Daniel, but the episode was great nonetheless.

Kate and Jack. D:<

And when Ben said the quote about reading, I cracked up, and fell off my couch. XD

I'm not sure Daniel will be in next week's either, but I know he's in the one after that. I miss him, but I know I'll start crying when I see him too so . . . I'm conflicted. xD

Kate and Jack = EPIC fail.

It was such a great line! :D

>>And when Ben said the quote about reading, I cracked up, and fell off my couch. XD

That about sums up my reaction!
...the best part though? realizing five seconds later that in true Ben Linus fashion he was totally full of shit. His mother died when he was born!

Faraday might not have been in the ep, but he was at least mentioned. :)

I too didn't think I'd like an O6-centric ep as much. ;) But... WHERE DID AARON GO? And how could either Kate or Jack go crazy bunnies when there was a "missing" child? *shrugs* Anyhoo, I'm under the belief Kate gave Aaron to Claire's mum... only thing that makes sense now.

Jack: How are you reading?
Jack says "How can you read?" ;)

Ben was awe-some (unless he hurt Penny...).

That's true! I can't wait until he meets up with his mum; it's gonna be epic!

OH YEAH! I forgot about that! I think you're right though, I think Kate gave Aaron to Claire's mom . . . I hope so, anyway. I hope nothing bad happened to him. :(

Thanks! Fixed it. :D

Ben's always pretty awesome, and I still don't think he hurt Penny. It's possible, but I'm skeptical about it. xD

This is getting crackier than ever. Proxies. Portals. Come on, so the island now is some kinda virtual reality? Or a parallel world? WTF ( ... )

lady_boromir February 20 2009, 00:38:13 UTC
No, no, the island just has the capacity to travel through time, or something like that. Still a little iffy on it, but I'm fairly sure it isn't a parallel world, and I do think it makes enough sense to be believable. xD ( ... )

Oh god. I wish it'd rather be a parallel world. Much more common in fiction, a theory everyone's used to and which doesn't make your brains fry like a sausage on a pan. xDDDDD

you just have to look at it like a roller coaster ride in the dark where you're not sure when a twist or turn is gonna hit you, but enjoy the ride for its thrills and surprises anyway. :)
LMAO. It feels more like you're seeing big bright signs "WE ARE SLOWLY GOING UP NOW" and in the next moment end up with a 90° downward slide. xDDDDD

I'm an optimist when it comes to the show, I think. XD
Yeh I can see that xDDD But even if there is the big "every death means something" theory, I don't rly like shows with bloodbaths.

It's not so much about the end (and all the answers) but rather the journey in getting there. My opinion anyways. :)LOL. I'm just watching out for characters that I like ( ... )

LOLOLOL! This is also true. xDD

Oh, see, my other great TV fandom love is 24 so I'm used to even larger quantities of blood in my baths. XDD

I almost gave up in S3 when it just seemed like the show was going no where but then, lo! and behold! this man FALLS OUT OF THE SKY and it was Daniel Faraday and he pretty much saved LOST for me. S4 remains my favourite season, pretty easily. :)
