there was a 21+ theater near where i lived. it was awesome! ah. no. it wasn't porn theater. hahaha. they served beer and food. so it was 21+. they shut down last year cuz of the bad economy tho'. RIP

how was precious? i was thinking of reading the book. but didn't wanna depress myself any further. i'd like to see the movie... but i don't go to theaters, so prolly wait for dvd. u____u

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that people actually brought their kids and babies to see this movie. They thought it was either a family movie or they're just completely st00pid.

The movie was really intense and really well-done in acting. It's based from the book, but I can't read it yet because I have to read something else for literature. As much as I can't stand Mariah Carey, she did really well as the social worker. And it featured Lenny Kravitz! :DDD He played a nurse who was one of the few people who showed Precious kindness.

I wouldn't recommend watching it in theaters if you don't want to feel like a ticking bomb. If I were you, I'd wait for the DVD. I wish I did that. DX
