For English, we were practicing coming up with arguments to prove the thesis statement "Books are valuable 'cause they let you experience things you wouldn't otherwise". (Er, it was phrased differently. >.>) And I bring quotes!

Oh, Ms. S's last quote is beautiful. It should be a banner or icon or something. Maybe a t-shirt.

I am becoming an English Teacher for exactly this kind of things. They seem to have the best relationships with their students.

Actually, I've totally written about books when I can't remember the author's name. Pretty much the only time I remember who the author is is when it's Shakespeare or like...My Faulkner and Hemingway class where that's all we read.

Occasionally, I'd get like.. a point off? But mostly they figured I knew and just didn't say.

(I have a really bad time remembering names.Like, if we talked about it in class or it was *really* famous, I'd remember, but ... I sometimes can't remember names of authors of books I like. Fall On Your Knees, for example. I'm pretty sure I know now, but I wrote a whole paper not knowing who wrote it. And books for non-literature classes? Don't even get me started. )
