*HUGS BACK FOREVER*

Oh thank somebody! I was getting so ridiculously insecure over this piece because it is waaay more complicated than my usual fare... :-D *joy and jubilation*

The serendipity with the woodcuts is hilarious, I've already gotten commentary about it over at my Deviantart! I can imagine a deleted scene of Andrews noticing and being so very panicky about vandalism while Aziraphale sidles over and tries to calm him, all the while secretly snickering at Crowley's mental imagery of the two of them.

*"Sideburns in the garden? Honestly Crowley, you were a snake. And I'm sure I wasn't playing football at any point."*

Or something to that effect. I shall now commence with drawing the makings out... ;-)

I was under the impression that folks are busting buns on their pieces for the Exchange (Don't know if you're participating? It's fun!) and bogged down with end of the semester obligations (therefore a bit overwhelmed at the moment). At least I'm hoping it's that. Either way, I'm going to continue along my merry way, just as you should my dear. I always remind myself that I lurked over here for well over a year before getting the courage to comment and that didn't lessen my enjoyment of the fandom in the least. ;-)

Folks are reading (I know for a fact that I've sent at least 4 people over from deviantart). Even if they aren't saying anything. :-)

Keep calm and trust in the Ineffable.

Oh my god, that angel woodcut is a thing of beauty. It looks so real, and I love the way his robes drape and the old-fashioned way you drew his hair and everything, I AM IN AWE. And I love how he's writing something instead of holding his sword.

And mmm, yesss, Crowley himself does look gorgeous in period clothing! Love the pocketwatch (always wanted one!) and his expression. In fact, this whole piece has a very woodcut-y feel about it and since I love the style of woodcuts, this is gorgeous! ♥

Woohoo! I am so glad you like the woodcuts because they were so very complicated and I wanted to include them so badly! The level of skill that went into the originals was enough to knock my socks off. The little details that went into the Titanic were really extraordinary.

Turn of the century fashion does seem to suit that serpent very well. The tux practically painted itself on... not that I was imagining him with it off mind you. ;)

The pocket watch is definitely my favorite part of this whole picture. They have such classic charm and make men look downright dashing.

Thanks for the feedback! I will now sit in my happy bubble knowing that my overall intent was correctly communicated. *mini-squee*

A pity so much of it is lost. :/

I have such a huge love for the fashions of that era, and also for those tight white Regency trousers and dashing coats... Men looked so good back then.

Yesss. I know my dad had an old one that didn't work and that he barely used; I must ask if he still has it. >:D

Good for you doing the research and it's a delight to learn about the angel woodcuts. Yours does indeed successfully fit into that idiom whether you altered it or not.

Your impressions of the characters are far afield from my own (inevitable; we all carry such crystal clear impressions in mind's eye from that book)but they are also strongly individual without notable influence from others and here as you commented, Crowley is so ravishing in the period fashions, he makes a marvelous statement.

It's fun to see this collaboration going on!

I love doing research! You always find such wonderful inspiration if you look in the right places. Sometimes history can be waaay more interesting than anything you can make-up. Life's odd that way.

Thank you for your analysis of my character designs! I appreciate that you say they're original, it's probably one of my greatest concerns that I might accidentally pilfer from another artist whose work I admire.

We're having a great time working together, I'm glad others are enjoying the fruits of our labor! Thanks for commenting!
