Probably because the fantasy is different from the reality. I know that there were times when I wish I could just get fired, but the shame that comes in hand with the reality of being fired was too much for me.

I think that's it! It's the actual shame of being fired for somehow not being good enough or not being able to fit in. At the same time, I can't quit because I don't want to admit I can't hack it. But then again, I have days like today when I go, am I insane or are they insane, and I wonder if quitting would not be better.

Why oh why can't life be like a novel? -_-
