The Great War began in 1911 and has continued for fifteen years. The Air Corps is constantly in need of fighting dragons. In the United States, a young dragon and a dragonrider become friends, mostly insulated from the turmoil in Europe. Their focus is on finding a mate, but doing so might mean facing a war they know little about. First, though, they must work out exactly what being a mate entails.
