a sale and two delays

The Books of the Cataclysm have sold into Germany, specifically to Otherworld Verlag Krug Keg. I am excited!

The Crooked Letter (translated* by Google as "The Crooked type character") is listed on their site as a 2008 book.

The delays concern The Changeling and The Force Unleashed, both of which have been pushed to early 2008. That sits well ( Read more... )

Thanks, Steve. I am celebrating in a small way: by putting of packing for bit and having a hot chocolate. :-)

Gah. "Off", not "of". I need a new brain.

Or more chocolate. Either.

Boy, you're keen. When is Fourplay coming to Adelaide next? (he asks in a vain attempt to turn the tables :-)

The Astropolis books are currently scheduled nine months apart, so that means Earth Ascendant is due January in the US and April everywhere else.

Which, now I think about it, means the logjam has simply moved from October to March/April. Ah well.

*heh* Sorry, I know, it's not like the first one's even out yet ;)
FourPlay in Adelaide hopefully soon! There's some jazz series @ the Festival Centre that we've been invited to, so it may be that we're coming down to play two sets of "jazz"... weird. I'll keep you posted!

Great to know you're keen! I like that. :-)

I'll keep my eyes peeled for the Jazz gigs. They sound like they'll be fun. (Do you take requests? Zappa!) I'll keep my fingers crossed we're not away on our honeymoon 'round then...

Hey, I hope you like it. Shane and I had a lot of fun writing that book, even if our personal lives were both messy at the time. (There might be a connection.)

I normally don't re-read my own work once it's in print, but I've been tempted to with those books. Don't know why. Maybe to see if the conceit of starting off with hard SF and making the transition to full-blown space opera actually works. Perhaps you could let me know. :-)

Shane has been patiently noodling away on several very different projects. Expect him to burst back into publishing in a big way, sometime soon.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you like the fantasy books too...
