"The CW is collaborating with publisher Alloy Entertainment on a one-hour drama pilot adapted from the book series The Vampire Diaries. Kevin Williamson (Scream) will write and executive produce, working alongside Julie Plec (Kyle XY); Warner Bros. Television and Alloy Entertainment will produce."

YES THIS IS REAL.

Oooo, I knew it existed, but not the release date. AWESOME! Library, here I come!

The Twihards can kiss L.J. Smith's butt. Stephenie Meyer wouldn't have a YA urban fantasy genre to write Mary Sues in if it weren't for writers like L.J. Smith. But, the Twihards were mostly all too young to remember that era, and the even-scarier Twilight Moms . . . well, I'm sure they "never read any other kids books besides Harry Potter" or "think Stephenie is just SO BRILLIANT that no one can POSSIBLY be better."

I think we'll see the differences from Buffy in the plotline. There are two specifically defined villains in VD (although I guess there's a third in the new series? I have to say, I am NOT HAPPY with how the description handles my beloved Damon), and they don't even have minions. It's more of a mystery than an action story . . . I hope. I mean, yeah, there's Tyler, but he's not really important *lol* But, I anticipate much suspense. SO EXCITED!

. . I always sort of counted buying books as a virtue, as you are then putting money in the pockets of people who write books. It's possible this theory is not entirely objective as I would like to be a person who writes books (and makes a living), but it seems to me that people who can afford to buy books, should. So I don't think you're going to Hell for buying books.

Of course, if you are, well, you'll be in good company. I'm going to hell for so, so many things. You bring the popcorn, I'll bring the beer? ;)

You know, it's not really my job to set the criteria for Hell . . . but I'm pretty sure book-buying is not one of them. I will be rather disappointed if it is. I mean, some people STEAL books from the internet! That's much worse *nodnod*

I love to support my favorite authors! And besides, I want people to buy Josh's books when he gets published, because then we can pay our bills *lol*
