I just got home from an absolutely exhausting day involving getting up at 5:00 am, four airports, two airlines, and the most tearful, embarassing goodbye I have ever subjected the general public to.

And I'd do it the same way if I had to do it over again.

Happy New Year, one and all. I've got a good feeling about this one. :)

The icon makes sense if you see the page of my journal proper, rather than viewing my entries on your friends page. My background is the Gainsborough painting of the Duke and Duchess of Cumberland with Lady Elizabeth Luttrell. She was the Duchess' sister and a notorious card cheat. I love the frothy 18th century foliage of Gainsborough and wanted my icon to tie into my layout.

Hahahaha. Not that this is funny at all, but I had almost the same exact experience yesterday! When I dropped the boy off at the airport, I watched him go through security while I completely lost control of my emotions. When I was leaving the airport, 3 different old ladies asked me if I was alright. I was SOOO embarasing!

Hahaha...aw! I more than sympathize. Something is so tear-inducing about airport goodbyes! :)
