If nothing else, this Chris Brown/Rihanna thing has brought to life just how much work has to be done educating young people, especially young women on domestic violence. The sheer number of girls saying that she somehow did something to deserve it is disgusting. Have we been doing nothing for these girls? How can they still think that it's ok

It scares the hell out of me how these chicks think. I thought this was the kind of thing we were supposed to be empowering them so they wouldn't fall into these patterns of behavior.

We need to step up International Women's Day activities.

Are you shitting me?! People are saying that she did something to deserve it? That's ridiculous. I really like how the Hollywood community, at least for interviews, is stepping up and being on her side.

You would be surprised how many comments were noncommittal. I think Kanye West sounded ready to go whup some ass for her, but most of the rest were extending their sympathies to both.
