I ordered this coffee table. Now, being that it is EXACTLY what I wanted, modern, glass, bright and the legs match the style of the legs on my sofa almost exactly. The shipping alone was $100 though so I had a hard time justifying that but when I looked around at comparable furniture locally, I couldn't find anything similar for the same price

That is a hefty price tag for shipping something, but if you got the money then you might as well enjoy it.

Take off 5% for sales tax, too. I'm sure that won't chip too far into the $100, but maybe it will sound a little better in the end.

Costs $500? Then the effective surcharge is $75, not $100, since you saved $25 in sales tax, right?

Don't listen to me though, when it comes to expensive purchases, I can rationalize just about anything :)

So this is totally off-topic, but I was in the public market today, and realizing I'd missed their tasting last Thursday, checked out the line-up. The sign-up sheet for the e-mail list was still there...with your name at the bottom. How was it?
